The Origin Story
Born and raised in the rugged northeast of Scotland, Scott Ruddick’s relationship with the water began at the Alford Otters Amateur Swimming Club. While many athletes start with natural prowess, Scott’s story is one of pure, grit-driven evolution. In 2022, as a 12-year-old, he was recording mid-range times, but a fundamental shift in his training intensity at the Aberdeen Sports Village changed everything.
By late 2024, Scott had become a standout "Consistent Improver" in the SASA North District. His backstory isn't about overnight fame; it’s about the 5:00 AM winter sessions in Aberdeenshire, the technical reconstruction of his Butterfly stroke, and a drive to represent Alford on the national stage.
